The kitten heel, that is.

The classic heel shape has weaved in an out of fashion since the time of Louis XIV of France. Perhaps a reaction to towering heels and comfort shoes alike, the delicate heels were everywhere

In his time, the diminutive Sun King upped his stature through his trademark red heels (this was like, waaaay before Christian Louboutin). The heel-wearing trend in both a chunky and kitten style spread to other kings, who sported them at their coronations, and eventually led to ruling by the king that forbade members outside his court to sport them.

In some circles, glancing at ones shoes is still de riguer —and definitely a way of judging people that has its roots in court life! (you gotta love a bit of history right?)

Ladies, if you love a heel but are wanting something slightly lower, you love a sling back and the colour orange is calling your name, look no further than the gorgeous “Odin” kitten heel slingback.

The colour of “Odin” can best be described as a Fanta Orange. She is textured over your foot and features patent heel and toe.

The heel is our new hourglass shape and the slingback has an adjustable strap which alleviates any slipping (there is nothing more annoying and who wants to be adjusting straps).

“Odin” is excellent for you ladies with a wider foot and bunions as well as the slimmer foot.

She features a 4.5cm heel height which gives you that gorgeous femininity, style and comfort. Give yourself an easy confidence boost, look smashing and feel fabulous!

How good do we feel when we look good and are not crippled in the process!

She features padded high density latex cushioning and 100% genuine leather lining, sock and insole. Your feet are going to thank you – trust me on this!

“Odin” is a versatile girl and can be matched with jeans if you are after a smart but slightly more casual look.

She can be teamed with a dress pant which will give you a sharper look to take you to the office or straight out after work.

She is such a beautiful shoe to team with a floaty dress or skirt for that special occasion or a summer lunch out with the girls.

Orange is a colour that can be matched with many other colours. She is incredible as a statement colour with an all black or white outfit.

Orange compliments navy beautifully for a more formal look and try her with hot pink or purple if you are wanting to be a little more frivolous! Try teaming her with your favourite floral too!

Did you know the colour orange is associated with meanings of joy, warmth, heat, sunshine, enthusiasm, creativity, success, encouragement, change, determination, health, stimulation, happiness, fun, enjoyment, balance, sexuality, freedom, expression, and fascination.

So ladies, if this sounds like fun, you and “Odin” are a perfect match! Be quick, as she is popular!

Thank you Scarletto’s Sisters!
